Get ready, Ripley – Flat Cap Comedy is heading back to Mary Lou’s Smokehouse & Craft Bar for another huge night of live stand-up!

Following a fantastic first comedy night, we’re doing it all over again with another seriously good line-up featuring David Eagle, Bethany Black and Peter Brush , with Stevie Gray taking charge as your MC for the evening.

Doors open at 6:45pm , giving you plenty of time to grab a beer, get some food and settle in before the comedy kicks off at 8pm .

And at just £10 a ticket , this is one Wednesday night you won't want to spend sitting on the sofa.

Closing the show is the brilliant David Eagle – comedian, musician and master of razor-sharp improvisation.

David is also an accomplished folk musician with The Young’uns and combines brilliantly funny stories, original songs and quick-fire improv in his comedy performances.

He's appeared multiple times on BBC Radio 4's The Now Show and brings a brilliantly unpredictable style to the stage.

Bethany Black

Award-winning English stand-up comedian, actress and writer Bethany Black joins us for October's show.

Bethany has built a reputation for combining darker comedy with a brilliantly warm and conversational performance style, with The Guardian describing her comedy as “dark tinged but magical”.

Funny, fearless and definitely not your average Wednesday night in Ripley.

Peter Brush

Then there's the wonderfully distinctive Peter Brush .

Armed with razor-sharp one-liners and brilliantly original routines, Peter's understated and deliberately awkward delivery has made him a favourite on the UK comedy circuit.

A former BBC New Comedy Award finalist , Peter has written for BBC Radio 4 and performed at major comedy clubs around the country.

He's also supported some huge names in comedy, including Jason Manford , who simply said:

Stevie Gray – MC Black

Holding the whole thing together is Stevie Gray , your host and MC for Ripley Comedy Night.

He'll be warming up the room, introducing the acts and keeping the laughs coming between performances throughout the night.
